This is an attractive tray and clearly handmade. The pattern of the mother-of-pearl inlays is imperfect, which adds to its appearance, in my opinion. The interior diameter of the tray is around 11″ and the height of the woven rim is around 1.25″. The tray base is attached to the outer rattan basket with 26 individual lacings every inch or so. As long as you’re careful when using it, storing it, and wiping it down, it should last for a long time.
I admit I was a bit concerned that this tray would not be sturdy since it’s only described as having a “wooden base.” But I was able to use it to transport large Bundt cake on a heavy stoneware plate with no problem.
Definitely recommended if you’re in the market for a decorative and useful tray.

This is such a pretty tray! It looks well made in all aspects except for a little bit of glue leakage on the back. Since you don’t really see that it’s certainly not a deal breaker and I would happily order again if I needed more. I’m not sure that I would gift it to someone though.

This is a remarkably beautiful tray. It’s not a “fine” tray. It’s not something polished and sophisticated that you might pick up at a high end store. It looks made by someone who may not have had formal art training. Like a piece of naïve art, which is recognized as a genuine art for, and often imitated, for its childlike simplicity and frankness.
Nevertheless, this tray is a piece of art. Folk art, if you want to call it that, but art nonetheless. The tray is also incredibly functional. I’ve used it several times to serve guests cheese and crackers, prosciutto and cantaloupe, hummus and tabbouleh — which is particularly eye-catching on the tray. Whatever I serve on this tray, I feel must be composed. I want the functionality of the tray to reflect the visual appeal of the tray.
I have nowhere to hang this rattan-and-mother-of-pearl tray, but if I did, I would. It has an artistic draw that captures the eye and holds on. I find it thoroughly enticing. And how often can you bring a piece of art home for the price of a plastic tray from Amazon. I think that makes this Airesly piece uncommon and very special.

QUALITY
The tray is very well made. The craftsmanship for the woven rattan is perfect – there are no loose pieces and the weave is very tight, sturdy, and strong.
The bottom of the tray is made of a hardboard type of material with Mother of Pearl inlay. This portion of the tray is also made well. The Mother of Pearl pieces have a slight glimmer and are really beautiful. These pieces are placed carefully and make a somewhat botanical pattern.
STYLE and FUNCTION
The style has a bit of boho flair and looks very natural – I love that. We’re using this tray as a bed tray in a guest room at our lake cabin. The room has boho botanical decor and this tray fits in perfectly.
The tray is strong enough to use it to carry a tray full of beverages or snacks, or even just to use it as a bed tray to hold coffee in the morning or a water carafe at night.
The tray is only about 1 inch deep – which I think is perfect for food, beverages, or as a bed tray.
The tray is easy to clean – just wipe it down with a damp cloth and it’s good to go.
Overall, I am very happy with the quality and style of this tray, and I do recommend it!
