I always struggle with what to get my mother for her birthday. I mean, she’s been my mother for a long time but It’s always difficult to choose a good gift for her. Whenever I ask she says something like “I don’t need anything…” but I know better. Well, this time she told me exactly what she wanted. I overheard her telling my father she wanted a lovely serving tray for dinner parties and such. Well I found one.
Handmade in Viet Nam this tray is very attractive and it appears solid. If it turns out not to be I will update my review. My father fought in the war in Viet Nam and two years ago they vacationed there and they loved it. So the tag telling her it was handmade in ‘Nam just added to her delight. In fact, when people arrived for the party she used the tray and several people complimented her on it. I gave it a full five stars because she loved it so much and it feels solid and looks great but if it were a tad larger I would be even happier. But I am not complaining. It would be hard to imagine this not going well in any decor so if you have the means, and Amazon is only asking $39, you should pick one up!

I was on a hunt for an adorable tray that I could use for multiple purposes… Such as entertaining, appetizers, holding candles, a decorative centerpiece for holding holiday decorations, bringing out glasses and silverware. I was so surprised at the quality in the beauty of this tray. I’m definitely going to purchase a second one. I love the white and the black, along with the bamboo combination. It’s the most unique tray, the quality and packaging was sealed tight. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Lucky me, what a find!

Love this serving tray, although not so sure I would call it that. I would find it difficult to actually try to serve anything on this tray as it is not smooth. The tray portion is coiled wicker which creates an uneven surface. You definitely couldn’t put glasses on it for fear of them falling over due to the unevenness of the tray. It is more decorative than anything and works extremely well as stationary decor. It is fantastic as a fruit basket which is what I am using it for. It not only dresses up the center of my table, but is so functional. The tray is absolutely beautiful, talk about being sturdy, the rattan sides are very strong and have a great thickness. The color scheme is gorgeous, love the white & black accents which create a really nice contrast. The wicker tray is crafted exceptionally well. The way the wicker is coiled and its strapping is near perfect. I’m amazed at how evenly spaced the strapping is, nice effect. What I truly appreciate is its size which is 13” inside the rattan rails (outside the rails is 15”). For my purposes that’s a whole lot of fruit. I couldn’t be happier with this product, and the best part, no assembly! If you are looking for some cool decor, this tray will certainly work. Highly recommended, great value too.

I liked the pictures of what I thought I was getting. The tray arrived nicely packaged, however upon removing saw the plastic windy part had come apart and a spot that looked unfinished. In person these appear and feel cheaply made. I can’t imagine serving anything in the tray without it falling apart. Sending this tray back.
