It was very easy to put together and is excellent quality. It comes with a fur-lined cover you can put on, but my cat prefers it without it. It is easy to maintain; I just run my handheld vacuum over it every few days to get the fur off.
For reference, my cat is eight years old and around ten-eleven pounds and she fits perfectly. We’ve had it for six months or so and it still looks the same as when we got it. I expect it’ll last quite a while. As you can see in the pictures, she lays on it many different ways. I definitely recommend this bed for other cats who are picky about their beds.

I’m struggling to find the words to describe how horrible the quality of this item is. I loved the way this looked. I really really wanted to be able to have this item and use it. When I received the first item, one of the right-angle legs was broken. I didn’t think much of it and chalked it up to a manufacturing error, and ordered a second one hoping it would be better. The fabric part of the hammock on the second one was made too small, which made it unusable, so I decided to use the fabric from the previous one I still hadn’t returned and return the defective parts all in one package. So I made a patchwork hammock and it worked for exactly 24 hours!!! 24 hours before one of the legs on the new bed also broke in the exact same way as the first one had arrived. So again, I used parts of the old package to repair the bed. By this time, I had been reconstructing this garbage for three days. Well, as you might imagine, within one more day, another leg broke and at this point I had 3 broken legs and couldn’t patch it up anymore. I even tried to use my own screws to hold it together because I really liked the way it looked, but the wood is so brittle and cheap that it just falls apart. By this stage I was so sick of it that I packaged it in a damn trash bag and decided to send it back. I still haven’t received a refund so I’ll come back and update in a few days. There is absolutely no worse item I have purchased on Amazon in the past ten years and I have furnished my entire house from items I bought here. I have also attached a photo of my cat sitting on the thing in the few hours it was functional to show that my cat isn’t fat and that’s not why this piece of trash broke.
