Vintage Japanese Woven Bamboo Basket Lunch Box Lidded Bento 3 Tier Storage Rare

Absolutely stunning extra large three tiered bento/lunch box/storage system, with a bent bamboo frame, which is hand carved to the sides, with the lid and three tiers with a very fine weave.

The bamboo sides are hand carved to both sides with a bird and flowers/foliage. Two fine splits at the bottom of the bamboo, which are barely noticeable, but just means the handle movement up and down needs a bit of of gentle wiggling.

Overall with the handle raised it measures approximately 37.5cm in height, with the handle closed down is measures 31.5cm in height. 28cm in diameter, and each tier allows for a height/storage of between 8cm and 8.5cm.

Condition is used as per photographs, unfortunately one side of the lid has some damage to the rim, but easily turned to the back, and the splits to the bamboo as mentioned above. Again minimal overall

A beautiful item – possibly more suitable for occasional storage, which minimal use to the handle, or for decorative display.
